Another successful cooperation with a sense of respect

Recently, Knowing Buddha Organization was informed by concerned Buddhists who felt that it was important not to remain silent about inappropriate practices concerning Buddhist symbols at the Mouana Phuket project. In response, the organization sent a letter to the Sales Department of Mouana Phuket to provide a proper understanding of the significance and appropriate treatment of Buddhist symbols.

The Buddha is the spiritual father and teacher of Buddhists. Buddha images and other Buddhist symbols represent the Buddha and serve as reminders of His virtues, teachings, and compassion. They are not intended to be used merely as decorative objects for homes, buildings, or other places.

It is highly commendable that, upon receiving the letter, the Sales Department of Mouana Phuket responded with genuine attention and willingness to cooperate. The company informed KBO that it was already taking steps to address the matter by removing the Buddha images from their use as decorative elements within the project. The company also stated that updated photographs would be provided as confirmation once the changes had been completed.

This case can also serve as a positive example for other businesses and organizations to conduct their operations with greater awareness and respect, particularly by refraining from using Buddhist symbols in inappropriate ways, such as decorative furnishings or household ornaments. Such practices may diminish the significance and dignity of these sacred symbols.
